  • Presence of Adlercreutzia is strongly correlated with the switch from NAFLD to NASH
  • Associated with “healthy” status while it disappears in cirrhotics
  • Reduces inflammation, decreases hyperglycemia and limits weight gain in in vivo models transplanted with NASH patient microbiota and force-fed with a high fat, high fructose diet
